The Chicest Restaurant in Miami
I went to Miami for the first time in March with my friend Gabby (hey girl!). Crazy story, we were actually supposed to be traveling to Costa Rica, but we worked with a travel agent and somehow our trip mysteriously got cancelled a week before we were supposed to leave. Thank god we got our money back, but I lowkey still got beef with the booking agent.
We legit were so sad about our trip getting cancelled like that but we had both already requested the time off from our jobs so we decided to travel to the 305 instead. I don’t know a person who doesn’t love traveling to Miami, so I was excited to finally get the chance to experience it for myself.
In an attempt to make ourselves feel better, we did everything our hearts desired. We rented a Mustang, got massages, did a sunrise soundbath meditation, walked around the luxury fashion district, and ate so much good food.
I love a good meal, okay! Everything we ate while we were there was seriously delicious, but my absolute favorite meal and dining experience came from a restaurant called MILA. It’s a high-end Mediterranean and Japanese fusion restaurant that “embodies a multi-sensory culinary and lifestyle sanctuary.” Doesn’t that just sound yummy?!
First, let me say this: MILA is definitely the type of restaurant you want to make a reservation for. It seems like it’s a pretty popular spot, so the probability of being able to walk in and get seated is probably rare.
When we first walked in, we were greeted by an illuminated sign that rested against a beautifully designed wooden wall. Then, we took an elevator up to get into the restaurant. You guys – this place is GORGEOUS! If I could use a few words to describe the aesthetic, they would be light, airy and chic. I loved all of the natural light in the waiting area, the pops of green from all of the plants, and the warm and cozy mood lighting they used in the dining area once the sun started to go down a little. Absolutely lovely!
Now, onto the food. As I said earlier, Gabby and I were basically on a luxury retreat, so we didn’t deny ourselves a thing! We started off with cocktails of course, and then ordered a series of items off of the menu to share. We tried so many things that I honestly can’t remember the names of everything, and after glancing at their menu again it looks like they rotate options out to align with the seasons. However, I will say that their bone marrow is fantastic. That, I will always remember. Lol.
The service was great as well. The hostesses were very kind and our waiter was attentive. it really was an all-around 10/10 experience! Apparently they have a rooftop and lounge, t00. I’d definitely be interested in exploring those next time!
