My Travel Bucket List

I love traveling. Not to get too spacey on y’all, but my moon is in Sagittarius, and if you’re into astrology at all you know that it’s the sign that loves to explore and experience adventure (but keep in mind that my sun sign is in Cancer so I have my limits! lol). As of today (November 2022), I’ve been on 7 trips: Washington D.C., Jamaica, Miami, Oakland, New Jersey/New York, Atlanta, and New York once more. Truthfully, I’m a bit travelled out this year, but I’m already planning my excursions for 2023!

The world is SO BIG, and I’m on a lifelong mission to see as much of it as I can. In an earlier post, I shared with you all that I want to fill up my passport and I mean it! Wouldn’t that be so cool to have it filled up from cover to cover with all those different stamps?

Anyway, like most people, I have a travel bucket list. I’m sharing some of the destinations I’d like to go to – both domestic and international – and at the end of 2023 I’m going to revisit this list and see which ones I actually made happen.

So without further ado, let’s get into it!

Greece

Y’all when I say I am PRESSED about going to Greece. Believe me! lol. It’s been on my list for a while. Every time I see pictures of the scenery I’m just in awe. Everything looks so beautiful to the point that it almost looks unreal. I just want to see it all with my own eyes!

Milan

It’s no secret that I love clothes, so of course I want to travel to Milan! I’ve actually been to Italy once before in high school. I had the opportunity to do a week-long European tour with my school’s instrumental music program when I was about 16. We went to Venice for a day, but unfortunately it rained the whole time and the city is very prone to flooding. With that being said, I’d like to see some different parts of the country, with Milan being top of mind. I really want to visit all of the luxury stores and eat some authentic Italian food!

Amsterdam

Amsterdam just seems like a super fun place to visit. I would love to do a girls trip one summer and get into some shenanigans with my besties. One of my friends said whenever we go we have to make time to partake in some goodies (wink, wink) and ride bikes and the thought of that alone always makes me chuckle! Lol.

Kenya

There are a few places in Africa I’d like to visit (Ghana, Egypt, Nigeria), but I think Kenya is the first place I’d like to go. I’ve seen some content on Instagram of people’s travels and it looks like a magical place! I’m so curious to see the open plains, experience the weather, go to some of the marketplaces, and just see what life is like for the locals there.

Aspen

Ski trip, anyone? I must admit – I’m not the most athletic girl out there, but I would pretend to be if that means I can sport a chic snow outfit. Lol. I think it would be so cute to do a winter trip with my friends and get a cabin in Aspen. I can see all of the flannel pajamas and taste spiked hot chocolate and s’mores now.

Napa

I went to Oakland over the summer and didn’t get a chance to go to Napa while there! Next time I’m out that way I for sure want to make some time to experience it. I’ve never been to a vineyard before but I’m quite positive that I’d love it. Give me all of the Cabernet and charcuterie!

Thailand

Fun fact: My girls and I are actually planning to visit Thailand next fall. I’m really excited! We haven’t started talking about all of the logistics yet, but I’m sure we will once the new year hits. I’ve seen some videos on Tiktok of some beautiful resorts that we could stay at that are very reasonably priced. I’ve been told that it’s pretty inexpensive to travel around in Thailand once you get there, so maybe we could bounce around a bit so we can see and do a lot during our trip. The thought of eating some authentic Thai food is also making my mouth water. YUM!

Philadelphia

I’ve never been to Philly but I’d really like to! My boyfriend has been before and he has spoken pretty highly of it, and one of my best friends goes often to visit one of her other friends. I do enjoy spending time on the east coast, and from what I’ve seen, it looks like Philly has a pretty cool art scene that I’d definitely be interested in exploring.

Paris

Who doesn’t want to go to Paris? I mean, seriously! There are so many reasons why I want to go: the pastries, the shopping, the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, the list goes on. Plus, I think visiting would present me with the perfect opportunity to brush up on my French. I had to take 4 years of it in high school and three years of it in college. It’s such a shame that I’m not fluent! But maybe a quick trip could change that. Haha!
