The Cargo Jeans of My Dreams

If you’ve been connected with me online for a while, then you know that I love a good pair of denim! If you can believe it, I actually used to hate wearing jeans. Being a curvy girl, it was always a challenge to find a pair that fit comfortably. When I started working as a sales associate at Madewell back in 2016, my life was forever changed. I was finally able to find jeans that I enjoyed wearing! Since then, my collection has grown tremendously, and I’m happy to say that I just added another stunning pair to my wardrobe.
These denim cargos from Zara are to die for! I was recently out doing some window shopping with my cousins when they came to visit me in New York a few weeks ago and we popped into the Zara in Soho. Now, I usually do not have much success with Zara because I don’t always find their items to be inclusive for anyone above a size 6, but I was pleasantly surprised this day! I had been wanting some cargos for a while but the ones I kept seeing all of the internet girlies wear were from Fashion Nova and my morals just wouldn’t let me order from them (no shade!).
I saw these jeans on the rack but initially I wasn’t able to find my size. I ended up grabbing a khaki pair of cargos instead and when I went to the fitting room to try them on, I spotted an associate putting a pair of the ones I really wanted on the go-backs rack and I went up to her and asked her what size they were. Lo and behold, they were just the size I needed! I tried them on and they fit perfectly – I was so happy!

It’s been less than a month since I purchased the jeans and I’ve already worn them several times. I love that you can lean into the casualness of them with a cute T-shirt and some platform sandals or a cute sneaker, or you can dress them up a little with a nice top and a heel. The pant itself is on the heavier side, so I feel pretty good about the quality and I hope I’ll be able to keep them in my closet for a while! As far as the fit goes, I find them to be pretty true to size, so keep that in mind if you’re thinking of getting a pair.
